The Nepal Blue Cross Humanitarian Foundation (NBCHF) is an independent, non-profit, non-political, non-religious and humanitarian organization, duly established and registered in Nepal in accordance with the applicable laws governing non-profit organizations.
NBCHF has been established exclusively for humanitarian, charitable, educational, healthcare, disaster preparedness, community welfare, volunteer development and sustainable development purposes. The Foundation operates on a not-for-profit basis, and all income, grants, donations and resources are applied solely to advance its humanitarian objectives in accordance with its governing documents and applicable laws.
The Foundation possesses its own legal identity and functions through its own Constitution, Memorandum of Association (MOA), Articles of Association (AOA), governing body, financial management system and administrative framework.
NBCHF works in humanitarian cooperation with the Nepal Blue Cross Society (NBCS) and the International Federation of Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Societies (IFBC) to promote humanitarian cooperation, technical collaboration, capacity building, volunteer development, disaster preparedness and community resilience. Such cooperation is based on mutually agreed humanitarian objectives and does not affect the independent legal status, governance, ownership, financial management or operational autonomy of any participating organization.
